Objective: To discuss the diagnostic, therapeutic, and evolutionary aspects of a case herpes zoster oticus associated with facial palsy in HIV conditions. Case Study: We report 32-year-old married female beautician patient admitted severe right otalgia fever that had been evolving for three days. The addition homolateral otorrhea headache was noted. initial examination on admission noted vesicular rash pinna external third auditory canal normal tympanic membrane. evolution marked 48 hours later by appearance grade V. CT scan rock showed mastoid maxillary sinus hypodensity. paraclinical exploration found positive retroviral serology to 1 2. diagnosis retained Ramsay Hunt syndrome condition ipsilateral sinusitis mastoiditis. treatment administered combination amoxicillin/clavulanic acid injection 3 g per day + oral aciclovir 200 mg, acetaminophen injectable every 6 h, betamethasone 4mg day, vitamin B complex, artificial tear. Therapeutic inclusion HIV/AIDS national program performed. total regression after six months treatment. Conclusion: Otogenic diseases remain problem our context where circumstances discovery are most often fortuitous, hence need search serological status front any suspicion viral infection adults. may constitute triggering factor or severity pathology symptoms such as deafness case. Early adapted management has shown improve prognosis.
